In response to a proposal submitted by the La Capitale Eco-Committee, La Capitale today announced its association with "The Carpooling Network," which boasts some 26,000 members throughout Canada. This partnership will enable employees to quickly and easily find carpooling partners with whom they can commute to work or other business travel destinations. This hi-tech tool will enable La Capitale's management and employees to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases which continue to have adverse effects on citizens' quality of life. Free for all employees Registration is free of charge for all La Capitale Financial Group employees. Employees can register online under the English section at www.lacapitale.gocarpool.ca using their work e-mail addresses. This website is easy to use, streamlined and reliable. The site caters to employees who are interested in carpooling, regardless of where they work. A simple and comprehensive tool New members can use the La Capitale logo displayed at the end of colleagues' names to facilitate their search for potential rideshare partners. The site also offers a CO2 calculator and a cost calculator to help users assess transportation costs. Traffic cams are also available on the site to facilitate travel planning during early morning and late afternoon rush hour traffic. All transactions are carried out in a confidential manner. The site has been officially launched, so feel free to and register today at www.lacapitale.gocarpool.ca. In September an information kiosk will also be available onsite in your workplace.
